THOUGHTFUL MINDS ACADEMY: Where Care Meets Peace of Mind
At Thoughtful Minds Academy, we redefine what it means to provide lifelong support for autistic individuals.
Our mission is simple yet profound: Listen. Understand. Provide.
We offer multi-disciplinary care tailored to each individual—whether at home, in school, or within our residential programs. Every plan is crafted after deeply understanding the unique challenges, strengths, and aspirations of those we serve, ensuring that each person experiences meaningful growth in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. For families seeking not just services, but certainty and trust, we deliver more than care—we provide peace of mind.
Our highly trained team blends clinical expertise with compassion, offering structured routines, specialised support, and long-term guidance that families can rely on today and decades into the future. At Thoughtful Minds Academy, we don’t simply focus on short-term outcomes—we build lifelong partnerships, ensuring every individual and their family experiences dignity, stability, and a brighter path forward.

Our core team of trainers consists of qualified and trained individuals from various backgrounds (Psychology, Education, Job Training, ABA, and Nursing). They are the backbone support in ensuring that all our students receive the best quality of education, guidance and care in our centre. Our trainers are dedicated, passionate, and responsible individuals who work with students and their caregivers (parents) for higher success rates in producing independent and self-sufficient special needs individuals.
All our trainers have obtained at least a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields from local or oversea universities and have gone through necessary training prior to working with our students.
Thinesh Samuel holds a BSc (Hons) Double Major in Psychology and Human Resource Management from the University of Upper Iowa, and was awarded the Dean’s List for academic excellence.
With over a decade of hands-on experience in the autism and special needs field, Thinesh has worked with individuals from early childhood through adulthood, including those with severe and complex support needs. Trained by internationally qualified ABA consultants, he specialises in practical, individualised behaviour intervention, independent living and vocational development.
As Founder and Director of Thoughtful Minds Academy, Thinesh is committed to developing sustainable pathways for individuals with autism beyond traditional therapy. His work includes staff and caregiver training, sensory environment development, teacher training and community awareness initiatives, particularly within the Seremban community.
He also works directly with families caring for adults with severe autism at home, training family members and domestic helpers in behaviour management, daily living skills and structured care—providing practical support to families who may not have access to residential services.
Thinesh is currently expanding collaborations with autism and special needs organisations across Malaysia and Singapore, with a focus on knowledge-sharing, professional development and creating better long-term opportunities for individuals with autism.

Megan Wood is a Child Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Child Psychology and a Double Major Bachelor’s Degree in Science, specialising in Psychology and Communication, from the University of Upper Iowa. She is also an active member of the Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA).

Her approach emphasises individualised intervention, parent involvement and practical support, working closely with families, caregivers and educators.
Alongside her private / freelance therapy work, Megan is involved in professional collaborations and external training projects, providing guidance and training to teachers, caregivers and professionals supporting children with additional needs.
As Founder and Director of Thoughtful Minds Academy, Megan works closely with Thinesh Samuel to develop programmes and partnerships that support individuals and families beyond therapy. She is currently exploring collaborations and sustainable support initiatives for families requiring long-term care, including greater access to financial planning, funding and resources to help parents prepare for their child’s future.
